Tell us how your summer training is going?

My summer training has been sporadic and fragmented between travel and college visits but I have made a point to prepare for this senior season, as far as I can tell I have gotten much stronger and I look forward to testing my strength on the cross country course.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

Be well into the 15:00's, that is my primary goal for this season, but my secondary goal is to set the course record at Falmouth. Both are lofty, but I don't think there is any other kind of goal.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I have been running races since around third grade. I was always really bad at running and gym class was a struggle but I started running with my dad to improve and found myself hooked on the sport.

Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?

As far as out of state competition goes I have been lobbying the coaches hard to let us race at the Thetford Invitational. I have been largely shot down with this idea but I'm going to push it till the end

What is your favorite course to run in Maine?

My favorite course in Maine is probably Twin Brook, I find the trails really nice and I see at the quintessential cross country course.

What is the toughest course to run in Maine?

The toughest course in Maine for me has always been WMC's at Saint Joes. For some reason at that point in the season I am always weak, and I have always suffered through that course.

What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?

This year all my emphasis will be on state's. It's my last year and I intend to go out with a bang.

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career & favorite cross country memory?

New England's sophomore year was my favorite race, as well as my fondest memory. The amount of people all around was amazing and created a nonstop vibe of competition, at the same time nothing was

riding on the race and I felt totally relaxed.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

When I am not running I really enjoy reading. It's fun and unlike it's time-consuming counterpart television I feel better after having read.

Favorite quote?
"What you are I once was, what I am you will become." -Famous epitaph

What shoes do you train in?

Skora form and Hoka one one

What shoes do you race in?

Nike victory XC, but maybe a saucony spike this year.

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?

Lance Armstong, he is an American hero. The guy had cancer, and no matter what I still see him as a great athlete.

What is something that most people don't know about you?

I take a bath before every race because I am paranoid if I don't I will get shin splints and stress fractures.
