Falmouth opens with a statement

Things got under way today for several of the top teams in Western Class A and B at Community Park in Falmouth. Massabesic's Michael Aboud took the boys 2 mile race in 11:05, while Marshwood's Maddy Doyle edged Falmouth's Vishva Nalamalapu 13:31 to 13:32. Falmouth easily was the best team on both the boys & girls side.

Harris & McKee take early season wins at Laliberte Invitational

Lewiston's Isaiah Harris opened his 2014 xc season with a narrow win over Mt Blue's Aaron WIllingham, the final time was 13:17.76 to 13:18.29. While on the girls side Kent's Hill Anne McKee had an easier time as she was 4 seconds better than Tessa Cassidy of Brunswick, 15:58.23 to 16:02.06. Overall Brunswick was the top program with the boys and girls scores added together, the Dragons tallied 708 to Mt Blue's 766.

Hussein & Fiutak win Paul Brogan Invitational

The Paul Brogan Invitational returned on Thursday evening at South Portland HS, after a brief hiatus due to construction the meet returned on a new course. Several local teams participated, individually Yahya Hussein of Deering & Rhoen Fiutak won the boys & girls race respectively.
