Orono the defending Class C champions have been one of the top teams in the entire state this fall. The Red Riots are the heavy favorites entering the state meet, at the EM C Regional last weekend they tallied just 23 points. All 5 socring runners placed in the top 8 at the Regional meet. While they don't hand out state championships before the race this Orono team is stacked, and no one else should be close to them on Saturday. WM Regional champion Waynflete looks to be the next best team in the field. The Flyers had 4 of the top 9 in the WM regional. Others team with a shot at hardware are EM Regional runner-up George Stevens Academy & WM Regional runner-up Merriconeag.
