Outrunning Parkinsons

Michael Westphal was diagnosed with Parkinson'™s disease in 2006. He decided to race The Great Run Marathon his first in 23 years in his hometown of Great Cranberry Island, Maine with the purpose of raising funds for Parkinson's disease through the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Westphal completed the marathon in 3:32:56, and earned a qualifying spot to compete in the 2016 Boston Marathon, all while raising over $32,500 for Parkinson's research.
