We're back..
The last seven days we were unable to update the site due to an unexpected extended stay in the hospital, finally I'm feeling well enough to jump on my computer, and start providing the best track & field coverage around the state of Maine.
What started as an appendectomy, in the hospital one day back at home recovering the next didn't go as plan.
The surgery went well, took a little longer than expected, but the unneeded appendix was removed.
I woke up the next morning, ordered some oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar plus milk, a bagel, and some apple juice. Well that would be the last time I've had anything to eat or drink besides IV fluids, or some wonderful pink fluid needed for a CAT scan.
My body had a reaction to appendectomy, and on Tuesday night I got an NG Tube inserted into my nose. The purpose of this was to remove all fluids from my stomach. This process was expected to finish up for an arrival home on Sunday. Things continued to move along slower than expected and it now it's Tuesday. I'm feeling much much better moving around on my own for the most part, and finally have the energy to update the site.
I'm hopeful I'll be able to leave the hospital soon and back into the daily routine of providing best track & field coverage around the state of Maine.
