Returning to action after a two week break, the athletes of the PVC ran some impressive times on the track at the University of Maine New Balance Fieldhouse. Leading the way was Orono junior standout Tia Tardy who lowered her own 800m league record as she clocked 2:14.29, that mark is the 4th fastest in the country this winter. Not far behind was teammate Rebecca Lopez-Anido who ran a lifetime best 2:16.25, that mark in currently 7th fastest in the country.

The 2:14.29 for Tardy lowered the league record of 2:15.0 that she ran earlier in the season, which ranks her #2 in Maine all-time history in the event. She'll be chasing the 2:11.58 of Aleta Looker the rest of the season in her quest to be all-time best from Maine. Lopez-Anido effort moved her to 5th all-time in indoor Maine history.

After running the 800m, Tardy stepped to the track for the 2 mile where she ran the state leading time of 11:17.48, that time also broke the New Balance Fieldhouse record.

Other action from Meet A saw Mavis Taungatu'a win the girls shot put with a throw of 36-3 3/4, she currently is Class B #2 in the event with a best of 36-11 1/2 on the season.



In the boys action John Hassett of George Stevens Academy ran a Class B & State #2 time of 1:59.71 in the 800m



In sprint action Lauren Stoops of Orono dominated the action as she won the 55m hurdles (9.33), the 55m dash (7.67) & the 200m (27.41)
