#1 Jeremiah Sands (4:23.70 1600m)
Jeremiah has run a 9:28.62 3200m and enters this event as the top seeded miler with his 4:23 1600m effort run back in May. Sands is a senior at Falmouth High School and finished 10th at The Festival of Champions XC meet last year. He stands a good chance of winning the inaugural B2B High School Mile run.
#2 John Hassett (4:24.03 1600m)
John will challenge Jeremiah Sands for the win with his 54.04 400m and 1:58.98 800m speed. John enters the competition ranked 2nd with his 4:24.03 New England Championship 1600m run in June. Hassett was the 2015 Maine State Class C XC champion, the 2016 Class C State champion in the 1600m and finished 9th at the 2015 Festival of Champions XC event. John is a senior at George Stevens Academy.
#3 Nick Dall (4:30.45 1600m)
Nick is a sophomore at Waterville High School and is the youngest of the top 5 seeds. Nick finished 3rd at the Maine Class B Track Championships this year with a 4:30.45 1600m run which seeds him a close #3. Dall finished 3rd overall at the Freshman Festival of Champions XC race in 2015 and 4th in the 3200m (10:07) at the Class B Track Championships this year. Nick is a definite threat to win this event.
#4 Joshua Lombardo (4:33.61 mile)
Joshua enters this event seeded 4th with an impressive 4:33.61 mile seed time. His 2:02.70 800 speed makes Joshua one to watch if this comes down to a sprint to the finish. Lombardo finished 19th overall at the Festival of Champions XC event last year and is a senior at Westbrook High School.
#5 Isaiah Brown (4:42.72 1600m)
Isaiah Brown is a senior from Houlton High School. Isaiah passed several runners on the last lap of the Maine Class C Track Championship 1600m run in June to finish 3rd with a 4:42.72 effort. Brown also finished 3rd overall in the 3200m at the Class C Championships and 10th at the Class C XC Championships in 2015. Isaiah is a closer and also has a great chance to finish well.
#6 Sam Russ (4:43.43 1600m)
Sam is a sophomore at Lincoln Academy and boast a 4:43.43 1600m seed time. Sam finished 2nd overall in the 1600m at the KVAC Outdoor Championship meet this year and had a great run last year at the Festival of Champions XC meet finishing 2nd overall in the freshman race. Sam is one to watch this season.
#7 Liam Bowie (4:47.37 mile)
Liam Bowie enters this race with 2:06.35 800m and 4:47.37 mile speed. Liam finished 10th at the Maine Class A State meet in the mile this year. He is a senior at Noble High School.
#8 Caleb Pendleton (4:47.00 mile)
Caleb Pendleton is seeded 8th with his 4:47 mile run back in January of this year. Caleb also has 59.98 400m speed to help in the closing yards at the finish. Caleb is a senior at Bonny Eagle High School.
#9 Harrison Osborne (4:52.75 1600m)
Harrison Osborne is another young runner in this field. Harrison is a sophomore at Scarborough High School and boast a 4:52.75 1600m seed time. Osborne finished 2nd in the 3200m and 3rd in the 1600m runs at the Central Maine Freshman Championships this year. He also finished 1st in the 3200m run at the Gorham Freshman Invitational. Harrison is another young runner to keep an eye on this year.
