In his own words: Paul Casavant - High Expectations

Hi,

I'm Paul! And I am going to be blogging for Milesplit this fall! I figure I should tell you all a little more about me. I am going to be a senior this year at Hampden Academy. I have three siblings, Christin, and Ethan, and Aishwarya, who we adopted from India.

I will probably talk about, or at least mention, in later posts. I (obviously or else I wouldn't be writing this) love to run! I have been doing martial arts for about 14 years. I also am a self described nerd. Biology, chemistry, math, and, of course (pun intended), running are my favorites.

We just had the second day of preseason today and to say I am excited is an understatement. Our top 5 from last year have all returned, and we seem to have gotten some talented young blood. Having repeated last year as KVAC and Eastern/Northern Maine champions and almost nabbing a New England berth as a team, we come in this year with very high expectations.

Ever since the legendary Beasts from the East (shoutout Spencer Canham, Ethan Casavant (told you I would mention them), Ryan Cole, Caleb Lord, Tyler Moore, Dan Rice, Justin St. Peter, and Patrick Welch who have all moved on to college, and my current teammates Will Webb and Wyatt Lataille) Hampden has been on an upswing and our returners intend to continue that

It is clear that they have all stepped up their games. So I've decided that at the end of my blog posts I'm going to give a little tip of the week. Except it won't be every week... I also need to think of a catchy name to call this, so if any of you have one, feel free to message me!

Tip #1: Help Paul find a cool name

May the Course be with you! Paul
