2016-17 Season Producing Top Marks
The amount of record breaking performances so far this winter has been very impressive, below we highlight each one of the league, class & state all-time top ten marks recorded so far in the 2016-2017 season.
Boys Shot Put
The shot put has produced 2 of the top 7 throws in state history this winter already. Leading the way is senior Austin Lufkin of Brewer who is rapidly approaching the 60ft barrier. Last weekend Lufkin tossed the 12lb shot 59'-11 1/2" , his effort better his 59-8 from the previous week which ranks him 3rd best all-time in state history. His throw also shattered the PVC league record of 55'-2 3/4" set by Tyler Eastman of Old Town in 2005.
Also making his way into the top 10 ten all-time marks was Matt Brady of Biddeford who opened his season with a personal best 57-1, the throw ranks him 8th best in state history.
