Name: Malia Cryan

What was your most memorable race?

Running the 3200 meter on my birthday in the New England's 2016 and breaking my school record at the time.

Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

I couldn't single out a particular athlete as my biggest competition throughout my four years but all of the athletes I've had a chance to compete against are all very talented.

What was your greatest accomplishment?

Helping my team win the State's outdoor championship in 2016

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

Not sure I would change anything

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

Overcoming injuries late into my high school career

What will you miss the most?

My team, my coaches and my cross country team trips to Camp Tohko at the beginning of the season

What advice you would give to younger athletes?

You may have bad races but continue to train and perform. Not every race will have the outcome you want but if you continue to work hard and you'll get the results you were working for.

What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

My coaches have always pushed us to our fullest potential and inspired us to attack every race with a positive attitude. I have been able to apply those aspects to my life outside of the sport.

What are your college plans?

I have accepted an athletic scholarship to Flagler College in St Augustine Florida

Who would you like to say thank you to?

To my teammates and coaches for supporting me in my many seasons of running. And to my family for always being at my meets and cheering me on.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

Best of luck to all the seniors in there future endeavors and to everyone in the new season to come.
