Harris Advances to Semifinals at World Track & Field Championship
Lewiston native Isaiah Harris advanced to the semifinals at the World Track & Field Championship in the 800m on Saturday. Harris running in heat 3 bided his time until the homestretch before sprinting his way into a second place finish to secure an automatic bid to the semifinals with his 1:45.82.
Harris who finished second in the NCAA & US championship earlier this year has run a best of 1:44.53 on the season.
Isaiah will run in the semifinals on Sunday afternoon at 4:15 (EST) in heat 1. He has the third best time in the heat, the top 2 in each of the three heats will advance to the final along with next two fastest times.
