Tell us how your summer training is going?
Pretty well, I kinda took it easy in July but I've been hitting the miles since the beginning of August.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?
Hmmm, probably to dip under 16 at some point. Also, it would be dope to qualify for Foot Locker Nationals, even though that would be crazy difficult.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?
Well I ran summer track when I was wicked young, like 8 years old, but I've been running "seriously" since 6th grade. Both my parents were runners, so I started running because they would've put me up for adoption if I didn't.

What's a typical training week like?
Doing 7-9 miles a day, but taking Saturday's off. On Monday's I also enjoy wrestling an alligator or two. Thursday's are reserved for trimming my beard, and on Friday I never forget to practice the art of cheesemaking.

What is your favorite workout?
Definitely 4 times 400, but you have to do 1,000 push-ups in between each 400. That works your pecks so you can really bulk up.

What is your favorite course to run in Maine?
POLAND. Poland has a dope course (it's actually in Minot I think). I haven't run on it since sophomore year but it's the illest.

What is the toughest course to run in Maine?
Probably St. Joe's. Those hills at the end are janky. I guess the only thing that would make them worse would be having to run them with only one shoe...

Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?
Probably having my girlfriend, Jordan Hasay, put the ill participation medal around my neck after the B2B high school mile.

What do you love most about running?
Knowing that every time I go for a run I get less soft.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?
Probably cruise down the street in my '64.

Do you have any pre-race rituals or routines?
Chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Made by mom of course. I also like to do a triple indie 720 backflip to warmup.

Favorite quote?
"In lane 3, Dave Wottle with the golf cap, from the United States."

What was the last movie you saw and what did you think of it?
War for the Planet of the Apes. It was crazy, awesome, epic. I bet Caesar could run a sub 4 mile.

What shoes do you race/train in?
I've raced in Brooks for a while and those have worked well. I used to train in Mizunos, but they fell apart too soon, kinda janky. Same story with Brooks. I just copped a pair of Asics so we'll see how that goes.

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?
Probably Tia Tardy. She's my hero. I wake up every morning with my only wish being that we will one day meet.

What is something that most people don't know about you?
I'm very serious.

Lastly, if you were stranded on an island with three things what would they be?
1. A CD of Kanye's TLOP. 2. A CD player. 3. A pair of running shoes.
