The FHSAA Outdoor Track & Field State Championship returns to Jacksonville after a two year hiatus. The meet was held at IMG Academy in Bradenton in 2016 and 2017, but will go back to the University of North Florida in the spring of 2018.According to FHSAA.org, the meet will take place Friday, May 4 - Saturday, May 5.
"UNF will do a great job with it," said Bolles Head Track & Field Coach and FACA Track & Field Chairman Dan Dearing. "It's a phenomenal facility and the only one in Florida that offers a chance to warm up on a practice track."
UNF hosted the championship from 2012 through 2015. It is the third time the event has been held in Duval County. In addition to UNF, Wolfson High School has also hosted a state track and field championship.
