Isaiah Harris Wins His First Professional Race in Spain

Isaiah Harris running in his third professional race, took the victory in the 800m at a meet in Barcelona, Spain on Wednesday evening.

Harris ran his regular tactical race making his move with 200m to go moving up to second. He powered down the homestretch running even with Yassine Hethat & Mohamed Belbachir before pulling slightly ahead with 15 meters to go. His winning time was 1:46.11, .10 ahead of the runner-up Hethat.

In his previous two professional races, Harris recorded a runner-up finish at the US Nationals, and a fourth place effort in his first Diamond League race in Paris. In Paris Harris recorded a personal best 1:44.42.
