Individual Preview

Matt McClintock (Madison HS)

The defending FOC champion is back and in the best shape of his life. McClintock is coming off several strong runs incuding a 15:38 for 5k. Matt will have his eyes on the meet & course record of 15:33 held by 2009 Champion Will Geohegan (Brunswick) Matt went out at 4:50 at the mile last year, this year he'll hope to maintain that pace throughout. Matt currently holds the #10 AT in meet history

Mike Tate (JH Gillis)

Tate finished 7th as a freshman 16:21.7, a year ago he moved up to 4th 16:15.92, he'll be looking for a top 3 finish in 2011.

 

Matt Sutcliffe (Cumberland, RI)

Sutcliffe is coming off a 9th place finish 17:02 @ the New Balance Ocean State Invitational. A year Matt finished 34th in 17:19.22

 

 

Bryant Perkins (Sanford)

Perkins finished 11th a year 16:51.15. Bryant is coming off a fine 16:38 5k on his home course, which should give him plenty of cofidence to chase a fast time in 2011.

Harlow Ladd (Messalonskee)

Ladd enters the FOC undefeated on the season. Harlow was the FOC runner last fall clocking 16:11.15. He has stated that he plans to go with Mcclintock to chase a sub 16 time. He currently is ranked #16 performance AT in meet history

Trevor Crawley (Cumberland, RI)

Crawley finished #27 in last year's race 17:13.79. Trevor is coming off a fine run @ NB Ocean State Invitational where he finished 5th in the D2 race with a 16:57

 

Nick Morris (Scarborough)

Morris has been getting faster each week while racking up 4 course records along the way, he ran a seasonal best 16:35 @ Sanford a week ago, which shows he's fit and ready. Nick finished 6th a year ago running 16:36.44.

Tim Follo (Falmouth)

Follo is undefeated in 2011, and is no stranger to success at FOC. Last fall he placed 5th overall 16:29.51 at FOC while leading his team to a runner-up finish. Follo hasn't been pushed hard this year so it'll be interesting to see how he respond to a faster pace, based on past experiences, he'll be fine and battling for another top 5 finish.

Dan Curts (Ellsworth)

As a freshman Curts finished 8th last year with an impressive 16:46.54. Dan has been running well winning all but one race this fall, look for him to mix it up at the front of pack on Saturday.

Chase Brown (Boothbay)

Brown finished 3rd @ FOC last year clocking 16:12.49, he'll be looking to match that performance again this year. So far this year Brown has posted some good times including a 17:03 @ Twinbrook the site of the state meet during the first week of the season. Brown is a big time competitor expect him to make a run at the win

Cameron Nadeau (Biddeford)

Nadeau in just his 2nd season of XC has emerged as one of the best in Class A this fall. Nadeau has pushed defending Class A champion Nick Morris to the brink 2x times narrowly losing to him. Nadeau will be running in his first FOC.
