Tom Foley Invitational

The Tom Foley Invitational was held on Tuesday which was a great day for track meet with temps in the low 70's. There were several top performances for the first meet of the season for many athletes.

 

On the girls side of things freshman sensation Kate Hall of Lake Region won three events (100m, 200m, LJ) including a blistering 12.40 in the 100m,  the fastest time in Maine last year was 12.38. Also

excelling was Jaclyn Masters of Edward Little who won the pole vault with a national elite mark of 10-6, Masters also was the runner up in the 100m & 200m. Winning 2 events on the girls side was

Emily Saunders of Greely, who took the HJ with a leap of 5-1 & then added a win in the triple jump 34-4

 

On the boys side Falmouth's Jacob Buhelt dominated the sprints taking the 100m in a brisk 11.44 while also winning the 200m in 23.55. York's Thomas Reid had a strong meet winning both the 110m

hurdle 16.19 & the 300m hurdles 42.21. Endurance monster Lucas Bourget of Edward Little completed the 1600m racewalk & 3200m double, Bourget clocked a fine 7:00.09 in the walk, while running

10:23.99 in the 32. Bourget's teammate & jumping machine Connor Harris took wins in the HJ 6-0 & the triple jump 42-1 1/4
