There were 4 new state leaders at Bowdoin College today during the KVAC regular season week #2 meets. Leading the way was Jaclyn Masters of Edward Little who nothced two new state bests, first with her 10-6 clearance in the pole vault, 7 again with her 27.07 clocking for the one lap 200m, also in the girls meet Winslow sprinter Alliyah Veilleux lowered the state leader in the 55m to 7.50. On the boys side McKenzie Gary of Mt. Ararat took over the state lead in the 200m with his 23.58 effort. To read more..

There were four new state leading performances on Saturday at a KVAC showdown between many of the top teams in the league. Randi London (Mt. Ararat) added almost 1 1/2 ft to her existing state leader when she set a personal best of 39-7 1/2. In the boys triple jump, sophomore Conor Harris (EL) had a huge hop skip and jump int he triple as he got it out to 43-11, over a foot better than the previous state leader. In the girls pole vault a matchup of the state's top two jumpers this winter Lindsey Folsom (Cony) and Jaclyn Masters (EL) was a good one, with Masters setting a new personal best and state leader by clearin 11-1. The hurdles almost produce a new state lead as Allison Hill (Brunswick) became first girl under 9.0, with her 8.91 clocking. RESULTS  CLICK headline to view more highlights

The Brunswick girls showed they will be a team to watch out for in Class A this winter as they rolled to a win in their KVAC opener at Bowdoin College today. The Lady Dragons had 4 new state leading performances, and 5 Class A leading performances on the day. The pole vault was the highlight event, as Cony's Lindsey Folsom cleared 10-0 to edged Edward Little's Jaclyn Masters who also cleared 10'0 on misses. The 10'0 clearance is a new state leader in the event. On the boys side Mike Slovenski (Brunswick) vaulted 14-4, while EL's Conor Harris took all three jumping events & Matt Hatke sprinted his way to victory in the 55m & 200m. KVAC meet recap: Maranacook Derek Veilleux Apr 30, 2010

There were plenty of fast times that heated up the track despite the chill in the year yesterday at the KVAC meet held at Maranacook HS. Leading the way was Jeremy Theriault (Edward Little) pictured left-photo by flewphoto who clocked the fastest 800m in the state 2:00.16. Also on the boys side racewalker Evan Vincent(Maranacook) lowered the state best down to 7:13.79. On the girls side, Hanna Mogensen (Edward Little) ran a fine 400m, clocking 63.17, #2 time in the state, just holding off teammate Jaclyn Masters 63.21. Ashten Hackett (Edward Little) also was impressive jumping out to 35-3 in the triple jump. RESULTS  | PHOTOS
