Talented freshman Abbey Leonardi (Kennebunk)pictured above, opened her high school track career with a fine 2:18.2 performance over 800m at the T.A.A.C.I meet this afternoon at Thornton Academy. Leonardi's time is the 9th fastest freshman time in the country this spring. There were many fine performances on the day, pictured below, Justin Gagne (Biddeford) opened his 2009 campaign with a throw of 140-0 in the discus and 51-8 in the shot put, both new state leaders. On the day there were 6 new state leading times/distances on the boys side, with one new leader on the girls side. All results have been posted and marks added into database.
