MVC Championship 2009

(Boothbay Boys captured their 2nd straight MVC title - photo by Nick Scott) Madison's Matt McClintock was dominate in winning the boys individual title, as he covered the 5k course at UMA in 17:03 to best runner-up Chase Brown (Boothbay) 17:33 Freshman Laura McDonald (Hall-Dale) was the girls invidiual champion 21:53, she was 35 seconds better than the runner-up Meagen Thomas (Lisbon) 22:28 Teamwise the Boothbay Boys with (40) points claimed their 2nd straight MVC Conference title over Lisbon (68) & Monmouth (88) . On the girls just 4 points seperated the top three teams, but in the end it was Monmouth Academy who was the victor (38) over Madison (40) and St. Dom's (42)   Full Results

The MVC Championship will take place at 10am on Saturday at the Unicersity of Maine @ Augusta The action of the girls side is expected to be very close for the team title, while on the same is expected for boys race as well.
