Dunn & Leonardi win Paul Brogan Invitational

The 1st Paul Brogan Invititational was held at South Portland HS this afternoon. This was the first race of the high school season. The race was in honor of long time South Portland Boys Track & XC coach, Paul Brogan, who guided the Red Riots for 38 years. Chris Dunn (Kennebunk) clocked 8:08.2 holding off a challenge from Matt Clement (South Portland). On the girls side Abbey Leonardi (Kennebunk) ran 8:27 over the 1.5 mile course. The start of the 2010 XC season will get underway with a new invitational. The Paul Brogan Invitational will take place at South Portland HS on August 20th. The invitational is named after the long time xc/track coach at South Portland, Paul Brogan (Pictured left in suit coat and tie) who coached the Red Riots program for 38 years.
