Bonny Eagle tuned up for the upcoming state championship with a strong performance at the SMAA Southwestern Championship. The Scots tallied 122 points to easily outdistance the rest of the competition. Leading the way for the Scots was junior sprinter Audrey Weyand, who won the 400m (59.34) in dominating fashion, she was the only one under 60 seconds. She came back in the 200m to narrowly nab the win in the last 10 meters, running a lifetime best of 25.93 to edge Noble's Dakotah Clement (25.97). Earlier in the meet Weyand finished as the runner-up in the 100m dash to Clement.

Senior distance runner Samantha Cox had a strong day as well winning the 1600m in 5:15.98, with teammate Kialeigh Marston finishing second (5:21.47). Cox would double back with a runner-up finish in the 800m (2:24.41) just behind her teammate Kyaunna Libby who ran a big seasonal best of 2:23.86.

The Scots also scored 18 points in the 3200, behind a second place finish from Mary Szatkowski, who lead most of the race before being passed in the homstretch by Kiera Murray of Cheverus. Murray ran 11:42.84 to 11:45.68 for Szatkowski.
