Even's Insight WMC Week #4

Week 4 Preview- by Tim Even

Falm, LR, Traip, Wells @ York (Fort Foster)

York will be hosting their second meet of the season as they welcome Falmouth into town. Falmouth, who has bumped up to Class A this fall, has been on a roll this season led by Bryce Murdick. Murdick will go for the win and try to lead his team to a similar outcome.

The girls of Falmouth have been equally impressive. Madeline Roberts has excelled on the trails this fall, and will take on Heather Evan on her home course. These two runners have been nothing short of fantastic for their teams and will lead both sqauds into competition on Friday.

Kenn, SV, Wayn @ Yarm

There are few duos in the state as tough as Decker and Becker of Yarmouth. Not only are their names fun to say together, but these two boys have been lighting up the courses this fall. Decker was out last week but Becker took the win up at Falmouth running 16:59. They hope to lead Yarmouth to victory at home this week

On the girls side, Laura Broderick continues to have a solid season and will try for the win here this week. On the team side of things, look for Yarmouth to go for a win on their home course. Kennebunk has also been solid so far this season and could challenge Yarmouth.

Cape, Merr, Pol @ Gray

With Cape running at Manchester on Saturday, they will rest there top 7 at Gray Friday. This could give Gray the chance to step up and snag a win on their home course. Some guys named Will Shafer will lead the way for the Patriots as he goes for yet another win.

The Cape girls have been solid this year and should be able to bring home a victory. The top 5 for Cape Elizabeth have been very solid and have run well as a pack this year. They hope that that method will help them be one of the top teams in the Region next month and bring them a win on Friday.
