Waters & Aboud winners at Marshwood
The girls race proved to be a dual between Angel Waters and Gabby Johnson of Massabesic and Maddy Doyle of Marshwood. Doyle led for most of the race, but Waters made a move in the last half mile to secure the win. Her time of 21:35 was the second fastest ever on the hilly Marshwood course, while Doyle (21:43) posted the third fastest time on the course. Gabby Johnson finished third, with teammate Olivia Ducharme and Marshwood's Jen Marcus rounding out the top 5. The Mustangs posted 25 points for the win over Marshwood (38), Sanford (65) and Noble (113).
In the boys race, Marshwood's Jack Letellier led through the mile with Massabesic's Michael Aboud and Andrew Mongiat in tow. Aboud and Mongiat made moves during the second mile and extended their lead over the final mile to go 1-2 for the Mustangs. Letellier finished third to prevent the perfect score as Massabesic dominated with 5 in the top 6. The Mustangs (18 points) easily handled Marshwood (37), Sanford (85) and Noble (119)
