2013-14 Indoor Track Event Previews: Triple Jump
Class A
South Portland's Duncan Preston finished 5th last year and is the top returning scorer. Preston jumped a personal best 40-11 1/4 at the state meet last winter.
Messalonskee Soren Donisvitch was on the podium in 6th a year ago, he had a best of 40-3.5, He opened his season with a huge indoor personal best 41-4 1/2. Soren was 4th in the outdoor state meet
Jacob Schott of Cheverus grabbed the last spot on the podium in 2013 in 7th. Schott will be a junior this winter had a best jump of 39-10 1/2
Watch for Gorham's Travis Grant who has the best returning jump from a year ago, Grant had a best effort of 41-11. Also another to keep an eye on is Michael Cuesta of South Portland who jumped 42-0 3/4 outdoors which earned him a 7th place finish.
All returners who meet the state qualifying mark of 39-0

Class B
Three returners are back from a year ago lead by 3rd place finisher Jordhan Levine. Levine of Waterville jumped a best of 42-2 1/2 last winter. He'll be looking to step atop the podium this winter. If he does win he would be the next in a long line of TJ champions at Waterville, Last spring Jordhan won the triple jump state title.
Another Waterville Panther Troy Gurski finished 4th last winter, he jumped a best of 40-11 3/4
Sacopee Valley's Ryan Moulton is the other returning state meet scorer, Moulton was 5th a year ago. Outdoors Moulton really took his jumping to the next level when he finished as the Class C runner-up jumping 44-2.
