MRC Performance of the Week: Synclaire Tasker & Jake Dixon

Brewer senior Synclaire Tasker set a Class A leading and personal best 35-10 1/2 in the triple jump in the last regular season meet two weeks ago. Tasker's jump earned her the "Performance of the week", she also is the current Class A leader in the 55m hurdlers, and 200m. Synclaire will be one of the favorites to win at least one individual state title at the Class A state meet. Her imporvement in the triple jump from last indoor season is impressive, last winter her best jump was a 31-1 1/2, outdoor she improved to 35-9.

For the second time this indoor season Cheverus junior Jake Dixon has been earned the Performance of the Week. Dixon had to travel to Vanderbilt, Tennesee to compete two weeks ago as the SMAA didn't have a meet. Dixon didn't disappoint as he won his section, and clocked a personal best and state leading 22.96 for 200m. The mark puts Jake into an elite group of sprinter who have run under 23 seconds indoor. Dixon is also one of the top 400m runners in the state.

Congratulations to Synclaire & Jake for being selected for the Maine Running Company Performance of the Week
