KVAC: Belfast, Erskine, Cony, Morse, Camden Hills @ Winslow

Anne Guadalupi of Cony scored a 21 second win over Waterville's Lauren Brown, while Morse edged Camden Hills 54-57. On the boys side Chris Walfield of Morse scored a win over Chris Cote of Waterville 17:14 to 17:48, these two are contenders for the Class B individual title. Teamwise Belfast 63 eeked out a one point win over Camden Hills

WMC: Freeport, Merriconeag, Yarmouth @ NYA

Freshman Luke Laverdiere open his HS in style a 16:33.77 5k win over Matt Malcom of NYA by 31 seconds, the future is here! Hannah Austin wins second in a row with a quick 20:09. Merriconeag boys with 37 edge Freeport by 2. Yarmouth girls are the top team.

KVAC: Brewer, Hampden, Waterville, Bangor @ Skowhegan

Hampden Academy boys open with a strong showing with a 1-2-3 showing led by Caleb Lord's 17:13 win. On the girls side the Broncos dominate with Elizabeth Labun is impressive with a sub 20 clocking, 19:59.45

WMC: Cape, Kennebunk, Traip, York @ Wells

York boys show they are for real as they take down a short-handed Cape Elizabeth team 24-49. Kyle Kennedy impressive with a 57 second victory. On the girls side Rhoen Fiutak of Cape Elizabeth runs to the individual win, while Cape take the team win 22-40 over a much improved York squad.

Scarborough boys & Massabesic girls open up with wins at SMAA Relays

The SMAA Relays marks the official start of a new year in Class A West! After a few preseason invitational’s, the league met up for its annual 1.54 mile showdown today at Thornton Academy.  Scarborough’s Jacob Terry and Gorham’s Anna Slager were the top finishers on the day with Terry covering the course in 7:41 and Slager running an impressive 9:10.
