A year after missing the New England Championship to rest a tweaked muscle, senior Kate Hall returned to the Reggie Lewis Center, and her winning ways. Hall won started off her evening with a fine 7.06 clocking in the 55m to make the final, in the final she held off a strong challenge by Briana Duncan of Cambridge, MA crossing the line in 6.95, a new meet record. The time was also the fastest ever run by a girl in New England indoors and moved her to #4 in the country this indoor season nationally. After finishing the 55m it was off to the 3rd flight of the long jump. On her second jump she popped out to 20-2 1/2 to break the meet record, and also her own personal best. In the finals, Hall opened with a huge 20-6 jump to seal the win, and in the process break Arantxa King's 20-2 3/4 New England record. The mark also improves her own US #1 mark in the event.


Deering's Hany Ramadan won section 5 of the 600m in a close finish, his winning effort of 1:22.34 was the third fastest time of the day earning the senior All-New England honors. Ramadan's time currently ranks him 21st in the country.

Thornton Academy senior Tori Daigle was on the podium again in the long jump as she finished 3rd overall with a best effort of 18-0 3/4. Daigle finished 5th in the event a year ago.


Cheverus senior Jake Dixon earned All-New England honors for the second year in a row as he finished second in section 6 running 35.66 to finish 4th, a year ago he was 6th.




Sophomore Tia Tardy of Mattanawcook Academy finished on the podium with a 6th place effort in the 1000 meters, Tardy clocked a 2:57.67 which is the 4th fastest time ever run by a Maine girl in the event.



Greely junior Alyssa Coyne set a new personal best in the shot put as she joined an exclusive group of Maine girls who had thrown over 40ft with her 40-0 3/4 effort which placed her 5th overall earning her All-New England honors
