How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I've been running since the summer entering freshman year. I was originally a lineman in football and a lacrosse player, but I decided to join summer running to keep in shape. It totally kicked my butt and I love the atmosphere, so I've stuck with it.

Do you remember your first real race?

The Manchester Invite freshman year. It was crazy, a good crazy. There was so many people there and I loved it. I remember doing the first mile talking to the guys next to me asking about where they were from and having conversations and then I got to the hill, Yeah, after that I learned talking through races isn't really the easiest thing to do.

How is your summer training going?

Summer training for me this year has been focussed a lot on staying healthy and really listening to my body. Last summer I pushed myself way to hard and ended up barely doing any summer training because of plantar fasciitis. So I developed a motto for myself, that I can always run faster NOT injured and that helps me remember not to push too hard.

What is your favorite workout?

Favorite workout would be between Kenyans( 2 minutes hard/ with 1 minute jog) or threshold runs.

Which meets will you be running in this year?

Manchester Invitational will be a main focus. Hopefully, new England's and then the Nike northeast regional qualifier.

Do you have a favorite course? What do you think is the toughest course in the state?

My favorite course would be twin brooks and that's definitely the hardest one I've ran as well.

Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?

Winning states was really weird. Our coach planned on us being really competitive, but we just went out there, not really any game plan.

What are your goals for the upcoming cross country season?

Staying healthy is number one on my list. I don't have any time goals though. I'm going to treat most races like a workout.

What do you love most about running?

In the race aspect of running, I like that there's no rest during our sport, that is until you finish. I love the community and the new people that it brings into my life.

Finish the sentence Chandler Vincent is... addicted to moose track ice cream.

Do you have a favorite quote?

If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door - Milton Berle

Do you have any pre-race rituals or routines?

Our team has this chant we do before every race.

What is your favorite food?

Wow that's a toughie...its between ribs and stir fry.

What was the last movie you saw and what did you think of it?

The last movie I watched was Kingsmen and I loved it! It was such an awesome movie. I recommend everyone watch it. You haven't lived if you haven't.

What brand of shoes do you train/race in?

I train in Nike Structures and Lunarglides, and I race in Saucony Carreras

What professional athlete would you like to meet the most?

Meeting Wayne Gretzky would be so awesome.

What is something most people don't know about you?

I used to play the saxophone and guitar.

Lastly, if you were stranded on an island with three things what would they be?

A house, fridge with pizza, and a couch.
