The Scarborough Red Storm trio of Colin Tardiff, Connor Doherty & Andrew Sholl did what they have done all year long, run together and finish together.
At the two mile mark of the race Tardiff & Doherty were running 1-2, with Gorham's Jesse Southard, Falmouth's Sean Soucy & Sholl tagging onto the back of the lead pack.
During the final mile it was down to 4 as Southard dropped back, and Scarborough made their move right before the pain cave to drop Soucy
"I love this course" said Southern Maine Regional Champion Colin Tardiff, "When I got to the top of hill coming out the pain cave, I knew I could do it, it was all downhill from there."
Tardiff finished strong crossing the line in 16:39.54, Doherty followed in 16:46.21, while Sholl was 16:47.35, giving the Red Storm an impressive sweep.
Junior Andrew Goodwin supported the top three with a 13th place finish, and sophomore Luke Grover rounded out the scoring 5 for Scarborough with his 26th finish.
The Red Storm scored 45 points, with a 17:17 team average over the holly 5k layout. Falmouth ran well for the runner-up trophy, the Yachstmen paced by the 4 place finish of Sean Soucy, had all 5 scorers in the top 25 to finish with 71 points.
