Tell us how your summer training is going?

It is going great, with a new coach, and a consistent plan with my trainer I fell very ready for the season.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

I hope to reduce my times and become a stronger athlete. I would like to qualify for New England's again and place better.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I've been running since I was in the fifth grade. I was beginning sports and was encouraged to try it by my surrounding teachers and classmates.

Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?

Possibly. At New England's. I'm absolutely up for any new challenges though.

What is your favorite course to run in Maine?

I love the competitive feel of the Belfast Course, but truly appreciate the beauty of the nature and hills of the Presque Isle course.

What is the toughest course to run in Maine?

I am not sure, I generally find myself enjoying most all cross country courses in Maine.

What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?

I keep the stakes high at the final meets of the seasons, but also want to really put as much effort as I can into the Festival of Champions because it gives me a great idea of how I am doing state wide in the middle of the season.

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career & favorite cross country memory? My favorite race so far was the New England Championships because I loved the traveling and experience of somewhere so new to me. It was a great big meet with so many nice people, and it was snowing.

My favorite memory would be winning my first race. I always looked up to the older girls on varsity and never imagined myself in their position until that point.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

I love many other sports( though I may not be very good at them ).. and I love reading interesting narratives and anthropologist's journal entries about different cultures, and different perspectives people have on life.

Favorite quote?

"Run O.K." -(In memory of Owen Krause, a former runner of John Bapst)

What shoes do you race/train in?

I train in Brooks GTS 16, train on the track in the Saucony Kinavera 7, and race in New Balance cross country spikes.

What was your favorite Olympic Moment in Rio?

When the women's team USA had a clean sweep in the 100m hurdles. It was very emotional and encouraging.

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?

I would like to meet any professional athlete. They all have different stories about how they got to the top and different ways of training that I would love to learn about.

What is something that most people don't know about you?

Most people don't know that I love to draw and paint, especially when I can relate them to some concept within my reading or my everyday life.
