Orono senior Kassidy Dill broke away from George Stevens Academy junior Eliza Broughton to win the Class C Northern Maine Regional title.

Dill was the only one in the field to run under 20 minutes as she stopped the clock at 19:40.14.

Behind her junior Eliza Broughton of George Stevens Academy was the runner-up with a 20:06.66 performance.

Another pair of GSA runners finished third & fourth with Mary Richardson 20:16.04 & Zeya Lorio (20:18.37).

Rounding out the top 5 was Camile Kohtala of Orono (20:27.71)

The team race was about as close as you can get as George Stevens Academy turned the tables on Orono winning by 1 point. A week ago at the PVC Championship, Orono took the 1 point win.

The key for GSA on Saturday was the 2-3-4 finish, they also got a 12th place effort from Tess Williamson & Bella Cimeno rounded out the scoring in 17th.

The two teams figured to battle St Dom's for the Class C state title on Saturday.
