NE Boys' Preview: Can Maine's Laverdiere Win The New England Boys Title On Home Turf?

Senior Luke Laverdiere will run his last XC in the state of Maine on Saturday, and based off his results so far this fall will be one of the individual favorites. The Harvard bound Laverdiere ran undefeated on the season as he captured his second consecutive Class B title running the #2 in state history meet history at Twin Brook 15:43.89. Luke ran the #2 time in course history on the Troy Howard MS course with his 15:10.86 winning effort at Festival of Champions. He has yet to be pushed this fall, often running with the pack for the first mile before hitting the accelerator and continuing on to victory. A win on Saturday would cement him among the all-time greats in Maine distance running history.
