What are your goals for the upcoming season?

My goals for the season are to continue my growth as a competitor and to PR in my events.

What have you done to improve in the off-season?

During the fall I trained with the xc team everyday to make sure I was still building up my endurance. I also made sure to be aware of my diet and not get carried away by that fact that I wasn't competing.

What does a typical week look like for you training wise?

A typical week consists of hard workouts on Mondays and Wednesdays. Then on Tuesdays and Thursdays it's more technique based. Fridays are pretty light work days as well because the goal is to hit it hard on Saturdays (meet day).

What competitions are you most looking forward to this season?

I'm most excited about the 200! I can't wait for states to compete with the returning and new runners.

What was one thing you learned last year that will help you the most this season?

One thing I learned last year that I really want to capitalize on is the importance of believing in yourself. Being able to walk to the starting line with confidence in yourself, really does go a long way.

Do you have any pre-race rituals or routines?

I wouldn't call it a ritual/routine but until my heat is called onto the track I nervously pace and snap my fingers.

What is your favorite food to eat the night before a meet?

I don't really have any preferences, I usually just eat whatever my dad makes!

What is the best piece of advice anyone has given you?

I've always had great support from my friends and family and the one thing I always hear is "believe in yourself because we believe in you". When I get nervous it's something I keep in mind.

If you were could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

If I could travel anywhere in the world it would be to a beach in Jamaica!
