The Hoka Southern Maine XC Classic had a smashing debut a year ago with 688 high school finishers between six different races. The second annual meet has over 900 individuals entered, and this year's meet will feature four different races.
On the boys side the meet will feature five of the top ten ranked teams in the state in the latest MileSplit50 poll. Headlining will be top ranked Scarborough, and last year's champion Greely who currently ranks third. Other ranked teams that will be competing will be sixth ranked Falmouth, seventh ranked Lincoln Academy, and eighth ranked Deering
The girls race will also have five ranked teams including top ranked Bonny Eagle, and third ranked Falmouth. Other ranked teams competing will be seventh ranked Windham, eighth ranked Yarmouth and tenth ranked Scarborough.
On the boys side nine of the top fifteen in the MileSplit50 Boys' Watchlist will be competing, while on the girls side eleven of the top fifteen will toe the line.
The four race will be broken down by grade as the freshman/sophomores will race together, and then the junior/seniors will go together.
