Freshman Delaney Hesler led all Maine girls at the Manchester Invitational held at Derryfield Park in New Hampshire on Saturday. Hesler currently ranked 8th in the MileSplit50 finished 16th in the large school race with an effort of 19:28. She ran a consistent race that saw her cross the mile marker in 6:02 in 13th place, the ever tough uphill second mile took 6:53, placing in 18th with the last downhill 1.1 miles remaining. She would pick up two spots as she ran 6:31 to finish 16th.

Teammate Ami Beaumier was the next Maine finisher across the line as the senior finished 23rd in 19:51. Beaumier had splits of 6:06, 7:04 & 6:41.

Bonny Eagle the MileSplit50 #1 ranked team finished 6th overall out of 37 teams in the large school section. The Scots ran without Christine Toy who was missing due to an injury. They were just 31 point behind third place, on the day they averaged 20:34.

In the small school girls race MileSplit50 #3 Lily Horne finished 8th in a time of 20:02. Horne was near the front of the race the whole way as she crossed the mile in third place in 6:07. The senior would follow that up with a 7:07 second mile before closing out the last 1.1 miles in 6:48.

MileSplit50 #9 Marin Provencher of Greely ran to a 20th place effort in a time of 20:32. The junior ran as high as 9th in the race at the mile.

Yarmouth was the top Maine team in the small schools race as the Clippers placed 12th out of 34 teams. They averaged 22:23 as a team for the first five scoring runners. Yarmouth was led by sophomore Maddie Marston would finished in 21:46 good for 56th overall in a field of 255.
