Zach Beaton of Hermon continued his strong start to the 2018-2019 track season as he lowered his state leading 55m hurdle time to 7.82. He added a another personal best with a 21-10 1/4 mark in the long jump which ranks him second in Class B and third in the state. For good measure the Umaine bound senior secured another win and personal best with a 43-2 effort in triple jump. He currently ranks second in Class B & third in the state in that event.

Liang-kang Lin of Old Town swept the 55m dash winning in 6.88 in the finals, he clocked 6.82 in the prelims. He added a 24.06 effort to win the 200m dash which is the top time in Class B. In the long Lin popped out to 21-0 1/2 just off his personal best, he ranks third in Class B in the event.

MDI'S Elijah Denning cleared a 12ft to win the pole vault his effort currently ranks him second in Class B. His teammate Gilbert Isaacs set a new Class B leader with his 45-4 winning effort in the shot put.

Penquis Valley standout sprinter Cymeria Robshaw lowered her Class B leading 55m dash time to 7.52 in the prelims, and cruised to the win in the finals in a time of 7.58. In the long Robshaw added another win leaping out to 16-5, she currently ranks second in Class B in the event with a best of 16-8. She also was the winner of the triple jump with a jump of 33-9 1/2, in that event she leads all of Class B.

In the 800m Zoe Olson ran a Class B leader winning the event in 2:27.93. Brewer's Olivia Mosca was second in 2:32.87, the second fastest time in Class B this winter. Mosca had a strong double as she won the 2 mile in a Class B leading 11:59.01.

Brewer's Morgan Honey won the 55 hurdles in 9.27, she is currently the Class B leader at 9.15. Honey added a strong 33-0 3/4 effort to finish second in the triple jump, a mark that is second in Class B.

Emma Hargreaves of Old Town the state leader in the shot put won the event with a distance of 37-6.

Bangor's Alyssa Elliott took a pair of victories in the jumps, as she leapt 16-9 1/2 to win the long jump, she also added 34-6 distance to capture the triple jump. Elliott was just off her best of 16-9 3/4 in the long jump a mark that has her ranked second in Class A. She also ranks second in the triple jump with a best of 34-9 1/4.

Defending Class B 400m state champion Camille Kohtala of Orono ran a state leading 62.27 in the 400m to win the event.

Hampden Academy distance standout Helen Shearer added a pair of wins by taking the 800m in 2:28.09 a personal best indoors. She added a 5:28.41 effort in the mile, Shearer currently ranks fourth in Class A in the event with a best time of 5:25.87 on the season.

Cayden Spencer-Thompson of Mattanawcook was a double winner in the jumps as the Louisville bound senior jumped 23-3 in the long jump & 46-9 1/2 in the triple jump. Spencer-Thompson is the state leader in both events, and ranks second nationally in the long & eighth in the triple.

Bangor's Andrew Munroe showed his versatility winning the pole vault with a height of 11-3, then adding a win in the 200m (23.78). His mark in the 200m is the fourth fastest in the state this winter.

Senior Wyatt Lord of Hampden Academy won the mile (4:37.49) & the 800m (2:09.58).
