The York girls as expected won the conference title, they came in seeded to score 155.33, and scored a little better at 156 points as they turned away a challenge from the Greely girls who tallied 127 points.


York's Hayley Smith was a standout for the Wildcats as she won the 200m by over a second with her winning time of 27.65. Smith added a second win with her personal best leap of 15-9 1/4 in the long jump She also was the runner-up finish in the 55m hurdles and ran a leg on the second place 4x200m relay.

The Wildcats got a win in the pole vault as Phoebe Slovenski cleared 9-6 to win by misses over Kelcie McGonagle of Yarmouth and Maggie McCormick of Greely. While Abi Kavanaugh threw a personal best of 33-3 1/4 to win the senior shot.

Lexi Brent provided 10 more points to York's cause with a 9.42 win in the junior 55m hurdles.


Greely was paced by its distance runners as the Rangers won the 4x800m relay in a time of 10:27.44. Marin Provencher was a double winner taking the mile (5:29.91) & the 2 mile (11:55.47). Senior Carolyn Todd captured the 800m (2:28.92) and was the runner-up in the 2 mile.

Cape Elizabeth junior Darcy Cochran was selected as the most outstanding track performer. Cochran won the 55m hurdles in 8.76, and was runner-up in the 55m dash 7.78 and triple jump (31-11 1/2).

In the events Maddy Irish of Greely was selected as the most outstanding field performer. Irish won the triple jump with a leap of 32-3 3/4 and jumped 15-2 3/4 to finish four in the long jump.

Poland's Ellen Marquis-Boutin swept the junior division sprints winning the 55m (7.92) and 200m (28.489)
