Allaire & Piers Take High School Mile

In its fourth running the Beach to Beacon High School Mile crowned a pair of new champions.

Griffin Allaire proved that old saying, the third time is a charm, by besting the field to take first place. Allaire has run the race three times now. He was third in 2017, second last year, in 2019, his last year of eligibility, he took the title. The senior at Wells is the reigning Champion for his Class in Cross Country, the 1600, and the 3200.

Brunswick junior Tyler Patterson took the second spot, while home town favorite Jack Bassett of Cape took the third podium position.

On the girls side junior Karley Piers of Falmouth took first. Piers is looking forward to jogging the 10K tomorrow with her brother and father, but will turn the intensity back up for Cross Country season where she has been a top performer for each of the last two seasons. Piers was followed across the line by Gorham's Kate Tugman and Cape's Lila Gaudrault.
