Boys Top Ten

Tyler Patterson of Brunswick showed he's not just in mile shape as he led the Maine high school athletes running in the Beach to Beacon 10k on Saturday morning in Cape Elizabeth. On Friday night the rising junior clocked 4:37.6 to finish second in the 4th annual B2B High School Mile race, on Saturday morning he held a 5:29 pace for 6.2 mile to finish 69th overall in 34:03.

Right behind Patterson was Kennebunk senior Ethan Eickmann who ran 5:30 pace for the 10k distance running 34:10. Cape Elizabeth senior Jack Bassett ran a strong race finishing 91st in 34:37 with Lincoln Academy senior Jarrett Gulden was 126th in 35:32.

Girls Top Ten

Falmouth standout Sofie Matson was outstanding as she averaged 5:48 per mile over the 6.2 mile distance finishing 138th overall, and 18th amongst all women in the race with her 36:02 effort. Matson was the top Maine female in the race by 33 seconds.

Cape Elizabeth rising junior Lila Gaudrault was the next Maine high school runner with her 37:35, 6:03 mile average, she was followed by Grace Iltis of Camden Hills who clocked 41:06.

Kahryn Cullenberg of Mt Blue was next in 42:13 and then came the Beach to Beacon Mile champion Karley Piers in 42:58. Piers ran with her older brother Connor.
