2018 State Meet Finish: 19:43.96 14th in Class A

How long have you been running and how did you get started?
I started running my freshman year, I had always played soccer but I wanted to try something new. 

What has your summer training consisted of? How much mileage you putting in?
Roger Huber, our coach at Bangor, has been so amazing. He has given everyone on the team a summer running schedule including long runs, tempo runs, and hill workouts. I've run a bit over 200 miles this summer. 

What are your goals for the upcoming season?
This season I would like to break 19:30.00 and place in the top ten at states.

What is your favorite workout?
My favorite workouts are hill workouts, whenever I see a hill I just have to power up it.

What did you learn from last xc season that will help you improve in 2019?
Last season I learned that running is just as much mental as it is physical. And I love being able to share the season with my brother. 

 When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?
If I'm not running I'm probably driving around with my friends, listening to music, or working on a science project. 

Do you have any pre-race rituals or routines?
I have a pre-race playlist on repeat and my favorite oversized sweatshirt. 

Favorite quote?
"I am Groot" - Groot

Snapchat or Instagram?
I do not have either Snapchat or instagram. But if I had to choose I'd say Snapchat, I like the filters.

What shoes do you race/train in?
I use the ASICS Gel Kayano 25's to train in. I think I'm on my fourth pair of the same shoe. They are my favorite.

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?
If I could I would meet Jack O'Callahan from the 1980 gold medal Olympic hockey team, and tell him I liked his hair.

What is your favorite food?
Seltzer water, I know it's not a food but I couldn't live without it.
