KVAC Meet #1
The shot put was one of the top events in the first meet of the season that saw four girls throw above 30-7. Leading the way was Kristin Jackson of Lawrence with a 32 foot effort. Belfast's Lia Frazie had a strong meet winning the high jump with a personal best 5-3 clearance, Frazie was the Class B runner-up in the event a year ago. She added a 9-6 clearance in the pole vault to win the event. Anna Reny of Cony had a strong meet winning the 55 hurdles in a time of 9.45, and a 27.96 winning effort in the 200m. Cony's Grace Kirk won two distance event, she started with the mile (5:38.33) and then clocked a speedy 800m (2:26.38).
On the boys side freshman sensation Connor Morin from Cony opened up with an impressive meet as he won two events. Morin equalled the freshman state best in the high jump with his 6-0 clearance, his mark in the long jump was 19-9 3/4, plus he added a second place in the triple jump with a 40-1 1/4 effort. Law Hinkley of Nokomis swept the sprints winning the 55m in a time of 6.87, and 200m in 24.53. Isaac Plourde of Lawrence took the shot put with a 46-9 1/2 toss, while Levi Olin of Winslow got out to 40-7 3/4 to take the triple jump.

KVAC Meet #2
Ella Boucher of Edward Little was the top sprinter as she clocked a fast opening 7.68 for 55m, and then added the 27.38 effort for 200m. Boucher also added a third win in the long jump with a leap of 16-6. Leavitt's Margo Kenyon was a double winner, she took the mile in (5:48.35) and the 800m (2:31.97). The triple jump was the best event of the meet as three girl's jumped at least 33 feet, Kaeden Green of Brunswick hit a big personal best of 34-10 to win the event. Olivia Jalbert of Edward Little cleared 5-3 1/4 to win the high jump.
William Carrolton of Morse launched over a three foot personal best with a big 50-10 1/2 winning effort. Edward Little's Jacob Jackson won two jumping events with a 40-6 1/2 in the triple jump and a 20-5 1/4 in the long jump. Tyler Patterson of Brunswick broke 10 minutes in the 2 mile with his winning 9:56.52 run. Holden Brannan of Mt Ararat won a close 55m in 6.85, while Lewiston's Abdirazak Abukar took the 200m in a fast 23.75 opening effort.
