Jarett Flaker 400m Time Trial
State record holder Jarett Flaker completed a 400m time trial this afternoon at the South Portland High School track. Flaker who is hoping to still be able to compete in the NSAF National meet if held has been training all spring with hopes to compete in the 100m & 200m races in the national meet.
Today he chased his younger brother Jayden over 400m, according to the free lap timing system used to record the time he clocked 47.43. Timing the effort off of the race video the effort looks to be closer to a 48.6 effort. Jarett set the 400m state record last year at the New England Championship meet running 48.23. Either way an outstanding effort and shows he will be ready for competition if things resume this summer.
