Kate Hall Sets 55m Record At 2014 Class B States


Turn Back The Clock Tuesday: Hall Clocks 7.05 55M


Today we turn it back to the 2014 Class B indoor state meet at Bates College to the girls 55m final. Junior Kate Hall of Lake Region qualified for the final running 7.11 to break the state meet record of 7.13 of Logan Crane of Freeport. In the final, Hall stormed out of the blocks and stopped the clock at 7.05 to set a new state meet record in the 55m dash. The state title was the third straight in the event for Hall. Later in the meet, she added two more state meet records as she jumped 19-3 3/4 in the long jump and ran 25.36 in the 200m, breaking records she has set the previous year.

During the post-season Hall went on to finish as the national runner-up in the long jump with her 19-11 1/2 effort.
