All-Time Maine Girls 200m Programs

All-Time 200m Programs

We've been working to expand our vast results database this summer adding in several state championship meets dating back to 1996, and the plan is to continue throughout the summer.  While we don't have every team's top athletes of all-time we wanted to take a look at the data we had to see what programs (schools) had the top performers in every track and field event outdoors.

We scored each team just like a cross-country meet, giving 1 point for the fastest time and so on. A program's score is based on the top five performers in the event with the top 7 athletes acting as displacers.

Today we are going to take a look at the girl's 200m. Below are the top five programs based on the results we currently have in the database. For the complete list of 93 teams visit the link below.

COMPLETE LIST

The Bonny Eagle Scots are the top-ranked 200m program in state history. The Scots are led by Peyton Dostie who ran a personal best of 25.60. Behind her, Elisabeth Redwood ran 25.87, and Audrey Weyand cocked 25.93. The scoring five for Bonny Eagle averaged 26.02.

The Red Storm of Scarborough ranks second as a program in the 200m. Nicole Kirk ranks sixth-best all-time in state history with her 25.28 effort. Behind her standout, Katie Toye also ran under 26 seconds with her 25.95 best. Scarborough averaged 26.07 for their scoring five.

Edward Little holds the third position with Zoe' O'Sullivan leading the way with her personal best 25.70. EL has an impressive seven girls under 26.69, they averaged 26.23 for their scoring five.

The Rams of Gorham are next with Sarah Perkins leading the way with her 25.48 which ranks eighth-best all-time. If we figured in Lisa Kent's number seven all-time 25.2h from 1983 into the mix, The Rams would challenge for the top spot. The Ram averaged 26.22 for the scoring five and had seven athletes under 26.77.

Rounding out the top five is Cheverus, the Stags are paced by current superstar Victoria Bossong who ranks third best all-time in state history with her 24.54 and 2020 graduate Emma Gallant who ranks fourth-best all-time 24.81.
