All-Time Triple Jump Programs

We've been working to expand our vast results database this summer adding in several state championship meets dating back to 1996, and the plan is to continue throughout the summer.  While we don't have every team's top athletes of all-time we wanted to take a look at the data we had to see what programs (schools) had the top performers in every track and field event outdoors.

We scored each team just like a cross-country meet, giving 1 point for the fastest time and so on. A program's score is based on the top five performers in the event with the top 7 athletes acting as displacers.

Today we are going to take a look at the boy's triple jump. Below are the top five programs based on the results we currently have in the database. For the complete list of 89 teams visit the link below.

South Portland High School ranks as the top triple jump program in state history. Leading the way is Ruay Bol who leaped 45-9 1/4 and Michael Cuesta who jumped a personal best 45-0. Behind them the Red Riots have three others who jumped 43-4 1/4 or better as they averaged 44-3 as a scoring five.

The Spartans of Sanford are the second ranked program with Sam Neang leading the way with a jump of 44-2 1/2. Peyton Weigand (43-10 1/4), Quinn Ramini (43-9 1/4), and Alex Shain (43-8 1/4) all jumped big marks with 2 inches of each other in recent history.

Waterville ranks third as a program with Jordhan Levine's 45-2 leading the way. Alex Lefebve jumped 44-6 to rank second for the Purple Panthers. They averaged 43-8 for their scoring five.

The Red Eddies of Edward Little rank fourth as a program in the triple jump. Standout Connor Harris is the top jumper for EL, he leaped a personal best 44-11 3/4. EL averaged 43-7 1/2 for their five scoring jumpers.

Rounding out the top five programs is Lewiston. The Blue Devils have ascended up the list in the last few years led by Kamundala Crispin's 45-4 leap. Behind him Jeremiah Williams is a recent edition with his 43-10 3/4 effort.
