All-Time Javelin Programs
We've been working to expand our vast results database this summer adding in several state championship meets dating back to 1995, and the plan is to continue throughout the summer. While we don't have every team's top athletes of all-time we wanted to take a look at the data we had to see what programs (schools) had the top performers in every track and field event outdoors.
We scored each team just like a cross-country meet, giving 1 point for the fastest time, and so on. A program's score is based on the top five performers in the event with the top 7 athletes acting as displacers.
Today we are going to take a look at the boy's javelin. Below are the top five programs based on the results we currently have in the database. For the complete list of the 102 teams visit the link below.

Belfast is the top-ranked javelin program with five athletes over 171 feet. Jessie Davis leads the way with a 177-7 effort, while Nick Gleeson 172-11 and Huey Morse 172-10 rank second and third respectively. The Lions averaged 173-5 for their scoring five
The Purple Panthers of Waterville are right behind Belfast with Nick Danner's 192-9 leading the way. Behind him, JD Gurski threw 17-4 while Damien Fellow got it out to 179-1. Waterville averaged 176-9 for each scoring thrower.
Biddeford High School is the third-ranked program with Eric Rousseau's 182-3 personal best at the top of the board for the Tigers. Justin Tarbox-Toussaint is the second-ranked Tiger with a best of 179-6.
The Red Eddies of Edward Little are the fourth-ranked program in the javelin. Scott Fecteau has the longest toss with a best throw of 182-2.
Rounding out the top five is Hampden Academy. The Broncos top thrower is Noah Peet with a personal best of 175-6.
