Maine Cross-Country State Qualifying Information Released

The long-awaited post-season for Maine cross-country got some clarification on Friday as the Maine Principal's Association released its plan for the state qualifying and state meets. Due to COVID19 the regional championship meets held in the past won't be contested and instead, qualifying will be done by a conference in some form.

The state qualifying meets will take place over the next two weeks. At this time we have only been able to confirm that the SMAA Cumberland County Championship will take place on Saturday, October 24th at Narragansett School in Gorham. We will update the other meet dates when we are able to confirm.

York county officially turned "green" today so the information below that refers to York county being eligible is pertinent, and has an effect on qualifying for all three state meets.

Below are the details on how a team and individual will qualify for the state championship.
