Maine State XC: Class C Girls Five Athletes To Watch


2019 Class C State XC Championship


The Class C state meet was canceled on Monday but we still wanted to highlight the girls that we would have featured in our five athletes to watch. We've also included a poll so you can vote for who you think would have won the individual title

Olivia Reynolds (Maine Coast Waldorf)

Grade: Senior

2019 State Meet Finish: 1st Place

2020 Best 5k: 19:45.50

Reynolds was chasing her fourth consecutive Class C title this fall. Olivia won all five races she competed in the fall, and last time out dominated the WMC Class Championship. She was the favorite to win the individual title, and if she had the chance would have matched Carsyn Koch of Washburn as the only Class C runner to win four state titles.


Thea Crowley (George Stevens Academy)

Grade: Sophomore

2019 State Meet Finish: 2nd Place

2020 Best 5k: 19:37.91

Crowley won four races this fall including the PVC Class C Championship. She was the runner-up at the Festival of Champions where she ran the fastest time in Class C this fall. She'll return in 2021 as the individual favorite based on her strong performances in the last two seasons.

Julia White (Orono)

Grade: senior

2019 State Meet Finish: 7th place

2020 Best 5k: 19:56.62

White had a strong senior season that saw her win two races. She finished as the runner-up in the PVC Class C Championship last time out. On the season she clocked a 19:56.62 best for 5k and finished fourth at the Maine Festival of Champions.


Alexa Allen (Monmouth Academy)

Grade: Freshman

2020 Best 5k: 19:33


Maeve Woodruff (Maine Coast Waldorf)

Grade: Freshman
