The Bonny Eagle trio of Delaney Hesler, Emmaline Pendleton, and Addy Thibodeau didn't want to waste the fitness they accumulated throughout the fall so when the state meet was canceled last Monday they figured they would take to the track on Wednesday to see how fast they could run a mile.
All three girls had a strong fall and were ranked in the Maine MileSplit Watchlist throughout the fall. Hesler sits #3 on the watchlist while Pendleton ranks #4, and Thibodeau #9. The Bonny Eagle team was ranked number one in Maine all fall and would have been the favorites to defend their state title.
Hesler who has a mile best of 5:13.74 took first place with a 5:09 effort. Pendleton was next in 5:19, just off her best of 5:16.52. while Thibodeau clocked 5:41 for a personal best.
