Poland sophomore Alyssa Mason enters the indoor season as the top returning girls' shot putter in Maine. Mason captured the Class B state title as a freshman last year with a throw of 37-0½, and she'll be aiming to defend her crown this winter.

Sloan Gardner, a senior from Cape Elizabeth and a Williams College commit, comes in as another standout. Gardner, last year's outdoor shot put champion with a mark of 39-10, earned All-New England honors and is looking to add an indoor state title to her résumé after placing third last winter.

In Class A, Brewer senior Madison Randall leads the returners, having finished as the state runner-up last season.
